Today 03/07/2024 Ambassador Todorović had a meeting with the Undersecretary (Deputy Minister) for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. They talked about a number of bilateral and international issues.

Ambassador Dragan Todorović met on July 1, 2024. with the Vice President of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya Mr. Abdullah al-Lafi. During the meeting, numerous issues from the field of bilateral cooperation were discussed, as well as some important international topics.

Yesterday, May 2, 2024. Ambassador of Austria to Libya, Mrs. Barbara Grosse, who is still working from Tunisia, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Tripoli. Experiences from the work were exchanged, especially since she also worked in Iran until recently, where she held the position of Ambassador's Deputy, so in addition to exchanging experiences in working with Libya, one of the topics was Iran. With great pleasure, we served her with Serbian products that are sold in Libya. We agreed to hold the next meeting in Tunisia where we will go to pick up the diplomatic post and when she will organize a meeting with several ambassadors who are still covering Libya from Tunisia.

Director of OZABI Đura Likar visited Libya at the invitation of the Director of the Directorate for Europe Abdul Rahman Hamada. It was the first official visit to Libya since returning to Tripoli after five years. Director of OZABI had numerous meetings, first with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Taher al-Baur, to whom he handed a letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić, then political consultations with the Director of the Directorate for Europe of the Libyan MFA, after that at the headquarters of the Union of Chambers of Commerce, as well as at the Ministry of Economy and Trade of Libya. After the meeting with the host, a joint media conference was held. Mutual satisfaction was expressed by the reactivation of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Tripoli and concrete steps were agreed upon in the cooperation between the two ministries and in economic cooperation.

During the visit of the Director of OZABI Đura Likar, in the presence of the host, Director of the Directorate for Europe of the Libyan MFA Abdul Rahman Hamada, the Director of Protocol of the MFA al Taher Hussein and numerous journalists of the Libyan media, a ceremony of the official reopening of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Libya was held after its renovation, which was carried out free of charge by the workers of the company owned by Dragan Božić, a citizen of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The directors of OZABI and the Directorate for Europe of the Libyan MFA spoke at the ceremony. Thus, after five years, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Libya formally started working again.
